Free Image & PDF Tools That Run in Your Browser — KhanTools
KhanTools is a small set of free tools for the everyday jobs that come up with photos and documents: cropping a picture to the right shape, getting a file under an upload limit, joining PDFs, or signing a form without a printer.
Your files stay on your device
Most online editors upload your file to their server, process it there and send it back. Ours don’t. Every tool here runs inside your browser, so the photo or PDF you open is read and changed on your own computer or phone and saved straight to your downloads.
That makes a difference when the file is personal, like a passport scan, a signed contract or a family photo. It also means there’s no upload wait, no account and nothing to delete afterwards. The only exception is the Background Remover, which downloads its AI model the first time you use it; your image still never leaves your device.
What you can do here
- Image Crop: trim a photo freehand or to 1:1, 16:9, 4:3, 3:2 or 2:3, and save it as PNG, JPEG or WebP.
- Circle Image Crop: make a round profile picture with a transparent background.
- Image Compress: shrink a photo, cap its width and convert between JPEG, WebP and PNG.
- Background Remover: cut out a person or product and get a transparent PNG.
- PDF Merge: join several PDFs into one file in the order you pick.
- PDF Sign: draw your signature and place it on any page.
- Add Text to PDF: type onto forms that have no fillable fields.
- Text Editor: write formatted text and take it away as HTML or plain text.

Frequently asked questions
Are the tools really free?
Yes. There’s no account, no trial and no watermark. The site is paid for by the ads you see on the pages.
Do you keep a copy of my files?
No. Files are processed in your browser and never reach our server, so there’s nothing for us to keep.
Do the tools work on a phone?
Yes. They work in current mobile browsers. Very large images or long PDFs can be slower on older phones, because the work happens on the device.
Something isn’t working. Who do I tell?
Send us a note through the Contact page with the tool name and what happened. Bug reports and tool ideas are welcome.
