These terms apply when you use khantools.com ("KhanTools", "we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. What KhanTools offers
KhanTools provides free online tools for images, PDFs and text, and a blog with guides. The tools run in your web browser: the files you open with them are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to our servers. You don't need an account.
2. Your files and your content
- You keep all rights to the files and text you work on. We don't receive, store or claim them.
- Only use the tools on files you own or have permission to change. Don't use them to forge documents or signatures, or for anything illegal.
- Keep your own copy of the original file. Check the result before you rely on it.
3. Signatures
The PDF Sign tool places an image of your signature on a document. This is a simple electronic signature, not a certificate-based digital signature. Whether it is accepted depends on the organisation and the law where you are. If in doubt, ask the person or organisation you're sending the document to.
4. Acceptable use
Don't try to disrupt or overload the site, scrape it at high volume, probe it for security weaknesses without permission, or get around any limits or blocks we apply. We may block access that harms the site or other visitors.
5. Blog and information
Our articles are written to be helpful and accurate, but they are general information, not professional (legal, financial, medical or technical) advice. Things change; check important details with the original source.
6. Advertising and links
The site shows ads served by Google AdSense and may link to other websites. We don't control third-party sites or ads and aren't responsible for their content or practices. How cookies are used for ads is explained in our Privacy Policy.
7. Our content
The site's design, code, text and graphics belong to KhanTools or its licensors. You may share links to our pages and quote short parts with a link back. Please don't copy whole articles or the tools.
8. No warranty
The tools and content are provided "as is" and "as available", free of charge. We work to keep them correct and online, but we can't promise they will always be available, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.
9. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, KhanTools is not liable for any loss or damage arising from using or not being able to use the site, including lost data, damaged files or decisions made based on our content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes
We may update the site, the tools and these terms. The date at the top shows when the terms last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply.
